KNOWRESOLVE CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT
Participation in any of KnowResolve's programs or activities are subject to the observance of the organization’s rules and procedures. The activities outlined below are strictly prohibited. Any participant, volunteer, or staff member who violates this Code is subject to discipline, up to and including removal from the program.
Abusive language towards a staff member, volunteer or another participant.
Possession or use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs (including marijuana), tobacco products (including e-cigarettes and anything vape related) on KnowResolve’s property or reporting to any program or event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Bringing onto KnowResolve’s property dangerous or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons or other similar items.
Discourtesy or rudeness to a fellow participant, staff member, or volunteer (failure to observe group norms).
Verbal, physical, digital, or visual harassment of another participant, staff member or volunteer.
Actual or threatened violence toward any individual, group or self.
Inappropriate physical/sexual contact
Conduct endangering the life, safety, health or well-being of others.
Mistreatment or taking unfair advantage of any participant.
Failing to cooperate with an adult supervisor/leader/mentor.
Failure to follow any policy or procedure will result in an incident report, and may result in:
Temporary suspension or removal from activities & programs
Contact with my parents/guardians
Contact with the local Police Department
Permanent dismissal from activities and programs
In addition, KnowResolve reserves the right to deny or revoke access or membership to any person who has been charged with or convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse, violence, is or has been a registered sex offender, or is presently or habitually under the influence of dangerous drugs or chemicals, narcotics, or intoxicating beverages.
Members, volunteers, and guests are encouraged to take responsibility for their personal comfort and safety by asking any person whose behavior threatens their comfort to refrain from such behavior. Anyone who feels uncomfortable in confronting a person directly should report the behavior to a staff person or supervisor on duty.
KnowResolve staff and volunteers are eager to be of assistance. Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a staff member or volunteer if assistance is needed. KnowResolve will take appropriate steps to investigate all reported incidents.
