Tools and Tips for Dealing

It wasn’t very long ago that I was so empty and hopeless that I didn’t believe there was anything worth living for. I kept my walls up, and kept everyone in my life at a safe distance – hiding my insecurities and misery behind self-destructive behavior and numbing myself to the world around me.

My life changed when I accepted three 3 simple,
fundamental truths:

• Sometimes life is difficult, and can seem unfair.
• The world doesn’t owe me anything.
• My happiness and well being is my responsibility.

I wanted to make a change in my life – I wanted to feel purpose, peace, balance and joy again! I did some reading, I got into therapy and I learned some new ways to cope with my anger, anxiety, and depression that changed my life.

I was amazed to discover that I had the power and the choice to change, to grow, and to overcome my obstacles, and that I was the only one preventing that from happening.

I’ve asked some friends to help me write about some sources of distress and the tools and tips that changed my life and put them here, for you.  I hope that you will join me  on this journey towards healing! Peace, – Dennis
